Primary Function:

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) position is responsible for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the different systems and equipment within the COE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing regular maintenance strategies and schedules based on predictive and preventative maintenance data.
  • Conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify why systems or components failed.
  • Designing and executing reliability tests to ensure that equipment operates in accordance with its specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with other engineering and maintenance teams to integrate new technologies and methods that increase reliability and performance.
  • Using statistical tools and software to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Preparation of reports and documentation to record findings and to make recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance interventions and system modifications to ensure achievable improvements in asset reliability.
  • Channels of information for new and improved tooling, machining, lubricants, filtration, linear and servo drives, etc.
  • Maintaining clear communication with suppliers and technical teams to ensure the reliability requirements are met in new designs and upgrades.
  • Overseeing the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and total productive maintenance (TPM).
  • Establishing and maintaining a database for tracking performance failures and improvement measures.
  • Ability to teach operators lubrication points, minor adjustments, filter changes, etc. in maintaining equipment they operate.
  • Develop and maintain a strong group of suppliers and maintenance vendors.
  • Work with Supply Chain Management to develop strong long-term agreements with the vendors to ensure rapid response to maintenance issues and critical, spare components.

Knowledge and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Three to five years of experience in TPM.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to solve complex issues, mental concentration for sustained work periods, patience, and leadership
  • Ability to understand machine/system capacity thus eliminating wait time within the integrated system.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs. when needed
  • Intermittent standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material
  • Frequent repetitive motions

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
