Job Duties:
- Perform assembly of aircraft and tooling components using rivets, fasteners, or other common metal fabrication methods.
- Follow verbal, written, and electronic work instruction to complete tasks and record pertinent manufacturing data where required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide activities and ensure quality.
- Perform inspections of work completed and document deviations from engineering drawing.
- Follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns.
Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude: Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment to perform assembly, installation, fabrication and rework tasks on metal aircraft components.
- Dexterity: Must be able to work with your hands to complete assembly operations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and lead a systematic approach to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written forms.
- Language: Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Quality: High attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and determine root cause of problems.
- Teamwork: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; objectivity and openness to others views; positive attitude and team spirit.
