Structures Technician

Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in structural sheet metal repair and modification and will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft structures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft

Fabricate and/or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts

Perform minor structural repairs on composite components

Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections and complex structural repairs

Remove and install aircraft components as required

Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures

Participate in 5-S activities and perform work in a safe and timely manner

Document work performed per applicable manuals and regulations

Operate ground support equipment and assist with mechanical/electrical removals and installations

Assist with maintenance at off-site locations and other maintenance disciplines

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in structural sheet metal repair/modification or substantiated similar experience

Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form

Basic set of hand tools with ability to demonstrate inventory and control

Ability to obtain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required

Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled work days and holidays

Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable

A Certification, A&P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (preferred)

Basic PC skills
