Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to certify the airworthiness of all parts shipped to customers. The Quality Inspector ensures that the quality team meets all ISO, OEM, and FAA requirements, that all supplier products comply with standards, and resolves hardware quality issues. The position supports shipping operations by visually inspecting hardware on behalf of the FAA and issuing airworthiness certificates.
Responsibilities
- Certify parts using FAA Form 8130-3 to meet FAA requirements.
- Serve as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for various aerospace companies, approving aerospace parts for their quality systems.
- Ensure supplier products meet all requirements.
- Resolve product quality problems.
- Process customer returns.
- Communicate effectively with customers, OEM, and FAA.
- Manage the Quality Control Hold Area.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge with all FAA documents and laws.
- Perform internal quality audits to AS9100 standards.
- Support and comply with all relevant policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws.
Essential Skills
- Experience with 8130 forms and aircraft components.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.
- Demonstrated customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Qualification to inspect the airworthiness of hardware.
- Ability to understand engineering design drawings and specifications.
- Skills in defining processes and creating manuals, training guides, and instructions.
- Meet and maintain requirements to be approved by the FAA as a Designee.
- Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace requirements.
- Capability to interface and maintain effective relationships in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1.5+ years of Quality and Aviation experience or 1.5+ years experience with direct involvement with the FAA (or military equivalent).

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday with first shift hours from 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, or 8:30am-5pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
Paid benefits, 401k match, PTO and holiday pay. Performance reviews and raises.
