Job Description:

Position Summary:

Personnel assigned maintenance function duties shall be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 and report to the Lead Maintenance Technician or designee.

The Maintenance Technician performs inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and alteration of aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company procedures. This role requires hands-on experience in transport-category aircraft maintenance, with CRJ experience strongly preferred (CRJ 200 highly desired).

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Properly execute all assigned maintenance and inspection duties in accordance with approved technical data and company procedures.
    • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on transport-category aircraft, with emphasis on CRJ platforms (CRJ 200 preferred).
    • Perform troubleshooting, component removal and replacement, operational checks, and system testing.
    • Properly record all work performed in the appropriate maintenance records in compliance with FAA regulations and repair station procedures.
    • Perform maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data provided in manufacturers’ Technical Publications, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
    • Ensure full compliance with 14 CFR Part 43, Part 65, and Part 145 requirements.
    • Maintain awareness of individual safety responsibilities and how they contribute to the overall safety performance of the repair station.
    • Ensure familiarity and proper use of tools, calibrated equipment, and inspection aids within assigned work scope.
    • Support heavy maintenance, modifications, and aircraft return-to-service activities as required.
    • Maintain professional standards of workmanship, accountability, and documentation accuracy.
Job Requirements:

Education:
o Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:
o Must have at least 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
o Experience on transport-category aircraft preferred.
o CRJ experience strongly preferred (CRJ 200 experience highly desirable).
o Experience in Part 145 repair station environment preferred.

Skills/Competencies:
o Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft technical documentation.
o Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and compliance.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
o Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
o Must be flexible and ready for changes in schedules and operational demands.
o Ability to adhere to strict time schedules, attendance policies, and appearance standards are non-negotiable.
o Must be 21 years of age.
o Must have a current, valid driver's license.
o Must have a current passport.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
    • Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds
