Honeywell AircraftAccessories and Landing Systems in South Bend, IN manufacture wheels and brakesfor aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and the military. We are looking for dedicated individuals to supportour manufacturing organization.
The Pipefitter I Journeyman Pipefitter plans,routes, fabricates, installs, repairs,and maintains high and low pressure pipeline systems.Pipeline systems include,but are not limitedto, steam, air, water,hydraulic and fire systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selects proper material and size pipe for jobs.
- Work tasks include making hangers and brackets of non-structural steel to facilitate pipeline installation.
- Must be able to do basic welding. Maintain fluid flow on machine tools.
- Install, repair, and maintain all hydraulic equipment on machine tools and plant equipment such as, but not limited to, actuators, cylinders, and hydraulic motors.
- Maintain components of vacuum furnace systems as determined by limes of demarcation including but not limited to vacuum pumps, boosters, valves, filters and piping systems.
You Must Have
- For export compliance, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Journeyman card required; will consider 8 years equivalent experience working in an industrial I manufacturing environment in lieu of Journeyman card
- Minimum 3 years experience with Hydraulics Additional Qualifications:
We Value
- 1+ years experience with Pneumatics & Steam preferred
- Applicants must also be able to read blueprints and have solid troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Waste water treatment experience a plus but not a requirement.
- Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and OT as needed.
- Candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment requirements such as a background check,drug screen, and meet the physical requirements of this position.
