With the transition from non-Digital to Digital Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) is still facing many challenges in effectively making use of its data. Some insights are lacking or take too much time to generate because of manual actions that are still required to take place, insights that are needed to make sure that the overall airline maintenance process can go as swift as possible. With this internship you will mainly review the equipment and material handling insights for the aircraft overhaul at KLM.
What will you do?With this internship position you are given the complete freedom to help:
- gain more understanding of what the existing business processes are
- understand what data is available
- provide dashboards/overviews that can help
You will only have the time to work on this assignment. No other assignments can be brought to the internship, considering the workload that is expected. This internship is there to help you give a look and feel of how it is to work at E&M and will provide you a nice opportunity to also help directly improve the support needed to do the Aircraft Overhaul (C-Check) even more efficient as is happening now. It’s a good opportunity to work on a project that can be tested and implemented directly together with a Continuous Improvement Team, which will provide you some Lean Six Sigma training for free.
Where do you land?You will be working in hangar 14 at Schiphol East a key player in the Wide Body C-Check overhaul team. Your office is located next to where the aircraft is. So, no boring office space.
Your profileWe are looking for a student who;
- Is a hbo/wo student;
- Preferably airline study background;
- Overall interest in Airline Maintenance

Competences
- Be able to create programs using Python
- General Data analysis experience
- Power BI/ Spotfire experience and or knowledge
