Description

  • Performs inspection tasks related to the removal, reapplication, and repair of surface coatings (e.g. paint) utilizing proper inspection methods, techniques, and equipment. 
  • Accomplish routine and non-routine inspection functions during all aspects of the paint process ensuring airworthiness of the article. 
  • Conduct inspections and surveillance of aircraft and communicate discrepancies by way of verbalization and written word.
  • Obtain access to aircraft internal areas by way of entry doors, access doors, access panels, and aircraft emergency exits.
  • Obtain access to aircraft external areas utilizing various aerial lifts including scissor lifts and articulated boom lifts
  • Work in awkward positions restricted by safety harnesses and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Utilize mathematical skills and ability for balance calculations and critical measurements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment.
  • Conduct inspection and surveillance of the aircraft maintenance programs and communicate discrepancies by way of verbalization and written word.
  • Conduct inspections and surveillance of the aircraft facility and communicate discrepancies by way of verbalization and written word.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings and apply them to aircraft.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Job Requirements:
  • Current Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
  • Minimum 18 months experience as an A&P Mechanic in FAA Part 121 and/or 145.
  • Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
  • Shall be familiar with FAA regulations and procedures relative to the scope of normally assigned tasks.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to research customer maintenance manuals.
