As an Industrial Mechanic II, you’ll repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components and perform basic diagnostic tests to determine whether major repairs are needed. Recognize and understand flight/product safety critical parts and processes as well immediately report any flight and product safety concerns. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Repairs and maintains electrical and electronic components, equipment, and systems; inspects, adjusts and evaluates components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances.
  • Sets up and operates specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems.
  • Conducts the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues with limited documentation
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s and National Instruments PXI systems (test and measurement platform that combines a controller with measurement instruments in a multi-slot chassis).
  • Ability to repair and build electrical harnesses with a variety of different connector types
  • Builds and tests prototypes to specifications.
  • Calibrates tools and electrical or electronic equipment and instruments to test specification and written instructions to verify system operations.
  • Orders materials for projects and electronic/electrical shop supplies.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Makes recommendations to management and engineering for improvement of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Perform additional projects as assigned.

 

What skills you will use:

  • Thorough knowledge of electronic/electrical circuit, instrumentation and control systems.
  • 5 years of more of your experience as an Industrial Mechanic
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical blueprints / Schematics
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment and test systems.
  • Your degree/diploma in electrical or electronics engineering technology or Journeyman electrician; or equivalent.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.
