Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Perform component part removal of various assemblies, to aid and assist in the repair process by exposing potential hidden damage.
Write up damage found and review technical data in OEM manuals.
May perform other duties commonly facilitated in other departments such as components repair, and assembly, e.g. structures, and bonds.

Required Skills:

Extensive use of hand tools, for teardown of component assemblies.
Must be able to read basic blueprints.
Must be able to review and navigate OEM manuals and drawings.
Must be able to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e. scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.)
Able to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy objects (50lbs.), for extended periods of time.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma, GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience.
Experience performing mechanical assembly in an aircraft, automotive, or similar environment is preferred.
Experience looking up data in drawing and OEM Data.
