Global MX is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at our FAA Part 145 certified repair station located in the Northeast United States. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance activities for both general aviation aircraft and business jets, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

We are an established FAA Part 145 repair station serving the Northeast United States, specializing in maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for general aviation aircraft (Cessna, Piper) and business jets (Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault). Our facility maintains aircraft operating under 14 CFR Parts 91, 135, and 121.
Essential Functions
Quality Control
- Perform and oversee all required inspections including general visual inspections, detailed inspections, and special inspections on both general aviation aircraft and business jets
- Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, particularly 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 121, 135, and 145 requirements
- Review and approve maintenance documentation, work orders, and logbook entries for accuracy and completeness
- Perform Required Inspection Items (RII) as necessary
- Research and review Airworthiness Directives (AD) and/or Service Bulletins (SB) compliance
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure quality standards are met, resolve technical issues and non-conformities
- Review and acceptance of final work order package through quality control check that all work is completed as per the regulations, repair station manual, and customer’s GMM, with no outstanding tasks or unresolved issues.
- Participate in quality assurance audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and regulatory authorities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to the repair station's quality control manual and procedures
- Maintain inspection records and documentation systems
- Ensure maintenance tasks are properly completed through appropriate inspection coverage
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance to inspectors and technicians
- Ability to interpret manufacturer specifications and maintenance procedures
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with inspection procedures in accordance with FAA requirements
- Ensure compliance with repair station manual and quality control manual
- Interface with FAA inspectors during audits
- Keep current with regulatory changes and industry standards
Management Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct personnel assigned to Quality Control including delegated inspection functions
- Coordinate personnel assignments and work schedules
- Manage workforce planning, training, and development of inspection personnel
- Ensure proper staffing levels and skill mix
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Coordinate with maintenance leads and shop supervisors
