STS Technical Services is hiring Heavy Equipment Mechanics in Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Bradley Mechanic to join our team and assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring Bradley Fighting Vehicles meet production, customer, and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting routine tests and inspections, operating equipment, and recording data. This position requires a candidate who can maintain a professional demeanor while interfacing with customers and working at their facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the mechanic in troubleshooting and repairing Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are in compliance with production, customer, and contractual requirements.
- Conduct routine tests and inspections, operating equipment, and recording relevant data.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers and working at customer facilities.
- Uphold a safe work environment and always adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Qualify for a USG CAC (Common Access Card) to access US Military Installations and work sites.
Skills Required:
- Minimum general mechanic experience and computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of wheeled or tracked vehicle mechanics, either through military or civilian sector.
- General computer skills for completing required training and daily timecard input without supervision.
Skills Preferred:
- Bradley Fighting Vehicle mechanic experience through military service.
Experience Required:
- General mechanic skills and general computer knowledge.
Experience Preferred:
- Bradley Fighting Vehicle mechanic experience through military service.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma and certificate of training and/or equivalent experience in vehicle maintenance.
Education Preferred:
- High School Diploma and military service-related experience in tracked vehicle maintenance.
