We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Tech to join our teams. The Facility Maintenance Technician role will be to perform various tasks assignments including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.

Essential Job Functions: 

• Repairs and maintains physical structures of building using hand tools and power tools.
• Replaces defective electrical switches and other fixtures.
• Paints structures using painting equipment such as brushes and rollers.
• Repairs woodwork with carpenters tools.
• Repairs plumbing fixtures.
• Repairs plaster and lays brick.
• Builds sheds and other outbuildings.

Marginal Job Functions: 

• Maintains log of materials used.
• Maintains log of hours worked.
• Maintains and repairs tools.
• Ensures that shop area is clean and free from hazards.
• Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.

Required

• High School diploma or equivalent  
• Valid Driver’s License required
• 1-3 years of Facility Maintenance experience

• Capable of working independently or under supervision.  
• Flexibility to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.  

Preferred

• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.   

• Excellent attention to detail

Work Location: Office buildings and indoor work areas

Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery. 

Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, breathing equipment, brooms, mops, powered floor equipment.

§ In all cases, the employee must notify his/her supervisor of any actions taken by the employee. The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders/supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.
