Job Description
Tucson based design, manufacturing and supply chain company is seeking experienced Electrical/Mechanical Assembler for their Tucson, AZ location.
Perform manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products. In addition will perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs and first line preventative maintenance
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
In-depth knowledge and understanding of PCB board assembly process and product process flow.
In-depth knowledge of soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Documentation control systems.
Physical Demands:
Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye co-ordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials. Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects over.
Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
Typical Experience:
Four to five years’ relevant experience.
Typical Education:
High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
Pay Details: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
