BGS is searching for an E-4B Ground Support Equipment Technician to join the team in Offutt AFB, NE.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for maintaining ground support equipment and systems of various complexity

    directly supporting the E-4B aircraft by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.

  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components, and replaces faulty components to return equipment to full serviceable

    condition.

  • Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.

  • Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.

  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.

  • Resolves problems for less experienced technicians.

  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.

  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).

  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Oversees training.

  • Works under general direction.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a customer-facing role

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with working as a maintenance mechanic on combustion-propelled material handling equipment such as forklifts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with E-4B/747 platform

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate&43;2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.)

Summary pay range: 55,250 - 74,750
