Job Requirements:

Essential Job Functions
*Ensure that all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAR’s) are complied with and documented
*Ensure that aircraft inspected and repaired by the Repair station are safe and airworthy
*Ensure that all applicable Airworthiness Directives are complied with and documented
*Ensure that all applicable and mandatory service instructions are complied with and documented
*Redirect and correct improper maintenance tasks or procedures
*Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
*Perform Aircraft Maintenance tasks as needed
*Responsible to exercise final inspection authority and authorized to sign any and all forms confirming compliance related to inspection, repair, and return to service
*Direct, supervise, and train any employees assigned to the inspection department
*Ensure that the inspection records, reports and forms utilized by the repair station are correct and properly executed
*Maintain technical data on all units overhauled or repaired by the station. This includes relevant material including records of manufacturer’s overhaul manuals, service bulletins, FAA manuals, and other data as required
*Make periodic checks on all inspection equipment, tools, and the calibration of precision test equipment
*Know all of the procedures for the Repair Station, the use of the forms, tags and completing the required paperwork as outlined in Repair Station Manual (RSM) & Quality Control Manual (QCM)
*Inspect aircraft for proper workmanship and airworthiness before, during and after work is performed by all technicians
*Be point of contact for the Repair Station with the FAA when Repair Station Manager is unavailable or as requested
*Responsible for return to service of aircraft, engines, appliances and components maintained or inspected by the repair station
*Ensure inspection personnel is thoroughly familiar with applicable regulations, and inspection methods, procedures, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine airworthiness of articles after maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations
*Perform training of inspection personnel in order to maintain proficiency in inspection procedures and standards
*Perform required annual training of repair station maintenance personnel in all courses described in repair station training manual. Keep up to date with latest industry training standards through portals such as the FAA, AEA, and others to evaluate and revise current training syllabi held by the Repair Station
*Assist with initial Indoctrination training of new hires as requested
*Responsible for repair station vendor audits, from outside vendors as well as internal audits
*Ensure proper sign offs at the end of each task performed and also at the end of the day on all of the work orders in the repair station
*Responsible for maintaining current technical publications whether in digital form or in paper copy at all times for aircraft which the repair station works on
*Ensure maintenance personnel is conducting maintenance in a safe manner and stop any unsafe action and perform recurrent/remedial training if necessary
*Expected to assume responsibility of Repair Station Management duties when Maintenance Manager not available
*On-call for Maintenance Control duties
*Proper execution and filing of FAA Malfunction and Defects reports, Special Ferry Flight permits, etc. as required Education and Experience Requirements
*FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, preferably with IA certificate
*Aviation experience with at least 1 year in quality assurance function; preferably with a background as aircraft mechanic or engineer.
*Well versed in airworthiness authorities’ regulatory requirements
*Strong analytical skills, with ability to work under pressure and a high level of integrity
* Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements
*Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations
*Communication Proficiency, both written and oral.
*Problem Solving/Analysis.

*Collaborative Skills/ Teamwork
*Mechanical Skills- knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
*Systems Skills for computer hardware & software including applications Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
