Shift: 3rd (10pm-6am) + $1.35/hr shift differential

Training: 1st shift for 3-4 months

Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

WORK DIRECTION
              A.      Assign/shiftemployees as needed to ensure all jobs have adequate coverage and workschedules are met.
              B.      Monitoremployee performance to ensure jobs are being done per specifications.
              C.      Motivate/reinforcegood employee work habits and where appropriate correct poor work habits.
COMMUNICATION
Meet with supervisor to plan work schedules and discusspotential problems with meeting schedules.
              B.      Notifysupervisor of department problems ie. quality, employee performance etc...
              C.      Communicateas necessary with off shift personnel, and Group Leaders in differentdepartments.
TRAINING
              A.      Explainstep-by-step process of a new job to workers and demonstrate how job is to beperformed.
              B.      Trainemployees how to read/understand factory layouts.
              C.      Emphasizequality of work to employees during training process and monitor work andemployees attitude toward quality carefully during training period.
              D.      Orientemployees on department products.
              E.      Teachproper labor reporting.
SCHEDULING
              A.      Schedulework based on priority, materials, parts and supplies availability and workschedule requirements.
              B.      Establishpriorities for which jobs are to be done first.
              C.      Maintainschedule/records as necessary.
              D.      Monitorwork schedules to make efficient set-ups and plan future set-ups.
LABOR TICKETACTIVITY
A. Monitor labor tickets of employees and correct identifiederrors.
              B.      Ensurethat tally sheets/labor tickets are turned in daily from each worker.
HOS  
Embrace and engage in the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) including activities, but not limited to Safety & Behavioral Observation Process (BOP), 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Tiered Accountability Process, Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Built In Quality (BIQ),  Coaching, Total productive Maintenance (TPM) and Knowledge Sharing.

MACHINE SET-UP, CHECK AND APPROVAL
A. Oversee machine/tool/equipment set-up.
                B.      Check toensure that a machine/equipment/work place is set-up properly per the jobrequirement.
                C.      Giveoperator approval to run a job subject to quality O.K. when applicable.
SAFETY
A.      Explain,demonstrate and teach employees department safety regulations/policies andenforce employee compliance.
              B.      Overseegeneral housekeeping of assigned work area.
              C.      Insure forthe proper labeling, recordkeeping and move orders of hazardous/explosivematerials.

ENGINEERING INTERFACE

              A.      Work withEngineering to resolve problems related to parts, supplies, equipment and/orprocesses.
              B.      AssistEngineering in the design process of new products, systems and/or construction.

PRODUCTION

              A.      Coordinatethe required activities and ensure production schedules are met.
              B.      Monitorindividual and group performance reports.
               C.      Complete required production reports.

INVENTORY/MATERIALHANDLING

      A.      Maintain inventory levels required to meet production needs.
              B.      Accountfor all materials/parts/supplies coming in and leaving group area.
MACHINEMAINTENANCE/REPAIR

    A.      Make necessaryrepairs or adjustments on machines/equipment within the scope of the job andcall appropriate discipline

WORKINGENVIRONMENT

              A.      Works inAir Conditioned area.
              B.      NoSmoking, Drinking or Eating in area.
              C.      SafetyGlasses with Side Shields may be required.
              D.      May berequired to pass eye exam.
              E.      Must passsolder certification.
              F.      Mustmaintain good housekeeping practices.
              G.      Handleslight to average weight materials.
