ASSEMBLY FITTER

Morson is recruiting on behalf of a leading composite manufacturers company based in the Wirral. Our client manufacturers composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Operating across three distinct product groups namely commercial, defence and business jet products. This role is an opportunity to join a team putting the finishing touches to our highly technical products.

The manufacturing facility houses some of the most advanced machining technology in Europe such as a multi axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine and multi-axis CNC machining centres. 
With an orderbook extending out into the next decade, our client is looking for experienced Aerospace/Aircraft Fitters to join on a contract basis. Duration is 6 months plus /long-term. 

ASSEMBLY FITTER - What youll be involved in:

Your role of an Assembly Fitter is to work on the assembly of composite developed components and assemblies for private and commercial aircraft globally, using your skills and experience to drill, countersink, wet assemble rivets and other hardware using a variety of hand and machine tools.

Working with an established team within the Assembly department, high levels of attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow processes and procedures are essential.

ASSEMBLY FITTER - Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture of Composite Aerospace parts within the Assembly area, alongside other skilled and experienced fitters
Work towards completion of all jobs within the specified quality standards, processes and delivery time scales
Provide input into developing fitter methodologies to enable greater flexibility across all Assembly area products
Ensuring cleanliness, organisation and maintenance of own work area and wider assembly area

What we’re looking for in you:

Time served Assembly Manufacturing is essential, aerospace experience is necessary
Experience using hand and automated assembly tools is required
Experience using and/or mixing resins is desirable but not a requirement
