As an Airframe Structures Technician at AEVEX Aerospace, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our aircraft. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting the maintenance, repair, and modification of various aircraft structures, including wings, fuselages, and other critical components. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Essential Functions
- Perform structural repairs, fabrications, and proper fastener installation to restore damaged or worn components to their original condition
- Ream close tolerance holes and install fasteners and bushings (with interference fits)
- Successfully remove fasteners without enlarging existing holes
- Plan, cut, bend, drill, fit, form, shape, ream and install fasteners, hand trim and finish
- Attach structural parts and assemblies using hand and power tools
- Layout in accordance with drawings to within tolerances listed
- Introduction to AC 43.13 standard practices as well as company process specifications
- Document maintenance actions in accordance with company policies and procedures as required
- Follows all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment
- Ensures that all work is done efficiently and adheres to aviation safety regulations and industry best practice
- Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for maintenance and or repair of aircraft
- Strong knowledge of aircraft hardware, sheet metal materials and processes
- Proficient in identifying, installing and removing common aircraft fasteners
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and diagnose structural issues
- Ability to read and understand written text, prints and layouts
- Ability to work effectively with team members and other departments
- Strong work ethic and integrity
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 3-6 previous aircraft or manufacturing experience
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schooling/license or military aircraft experience a plus

Security Clearance
AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$30—$38 USD
