Summary:
Performs visual inspection of solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies per IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
Uses drawings, checklists, and various measuring tools (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, scales) to inspect assemblies to meet manufacturing and industry specifications.
Required Skills:
Experience working under a microscope
2+ years solder/visual inspection experience, or 3+ years manufacturing/soldering experience in lieu of inspection experience
1+ year of conformal coating experience
Skilled in interpreting drawings, diagrams, and IPC standards
Strong team player with effective communication skills
Proficiency with personal computers
Able to diplomatically address quality defects with all levels of manufacturing
Documentation, IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD, Measurement Standards, Visual Inspection (all 9, 1-4 years experience)
