Summary:
Perform visual inspection of solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies following IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 standards
Use instructions, checklists, and measuring devices (dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales) to inspect assemblies against manufacturing and industry specifications, including IPC standards
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years inspecting solder connections on surface mount and plated thru-hole components, as well as coating of PWBs, per IPC standards
Proficient in the use of personal computers for documentation and record-keeping
Skilled in using various measuring devices for inspection
Able to interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, and work instructions
Strong verbal and written skills; able to interface diplomatically with all levels of manufacturing regarding quality issues
Highly attentive to detail, ensuring all inspections meet quality specifications
Desired Skills:
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively in a manufacturing environment (1-2 years experience)
Ability to read engineering drawings (2-4 years experience)
Documentation skills for detailed record-keeping (1-2 years experience)
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD standards (2-4 years experience)
Visual inspection expertise for identifying and addressing defects (2-4 years experience)
