Job Description:

Tactical Air Support, Inc., a growing national company, provides domestic and international "Center of Excellence" training and advisory services in tactical aviation, as well as the production, modification, and sustainment/maintenance of high-performance aircraft. We "Serve Those Who Serve" with innovative aviation solutions while maintaining a balanced focus on our customers and our teams and we are seeking an Aircraft Electrical Drafter to join our Engineering team.

The ideal candidate for the Aircraft Electrical Drafter position will be responsible to execute engineering design, development, test, and analysis of aircraft and structures to include U.S. Navy F-5N+F+ series aircraft. This position will communicate and collaborate with aircraft maintenance, pilots, engineering team members, and program management in support of mission systems. The successful performance of this position will require candidate to meet and support the business goals and mission of the company.

Job Requirements:
  • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Please refer to the position profile for complete job description and requirements.
  • Education specific to engineering, STEM, or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience working with and designing electrical drawings, conducting structural analysis, and general arrangements with software-aided design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Smartsheets).
  • Experience in Product Data Management (PDM) of engineering CAD models, drawings, and data.
  • Experience as a CAD administrator to manage CAD/PDM software licenses and user accounts.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), 3D printing/scanning with use of FERO ARM laser scanners.
  • Ability to develop/update drawings and CAD models based on engineering change proposals.
  • Ability to conform to U.S. DoD Communications Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) methods and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and projects and to see the big picture.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptable.
  • Ability to read, listen to, and understand information and ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required and ability to support detachments as assigned.
  • Able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening (including for marijuana) per DOT/FAA requirements for safety sensitive positions.
  • This position is subject to medical or physical certification requirements.
