Summary
In a team-oriented work environment, install parts and components, lines, cables, etc. in assigned areas using required tools and appropriate prints, specs, and operational requirements.

Position Purpose
Complete work assigned through final inspection and assure conformance to specifications.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience
  • A&P license may offset the one year of experience required
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components.
  • Component Replacement: Remove and replace linkage, sectors, components, and associated hardware.
  • Quality and Efficiency: Ensure all parts/assembly meet requirements and perform necessary rework.
  • System Installation: Install systems lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts and hardware.
  • Tool and Equipment Use: Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete component installation.
  • Record Keeping: Update and sign required logs and records.
  • Quality Control: Check own work to ensure a defect-free installation.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a neat and orderly work area and support company programs.
  • Log and Record Maintenance: Maintain and use all logs and records.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement processes.
Additional Functions
  • Flight Tests: May include flight tests on aircraft as required in support of aircraft certification and final phase testing.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
  • Solumina and Smarteam Experience: Preferred experience with Solumina and Smarteam.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Tool Use: Ability to use all tools required to do the job.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
