Skilled Aircraft Structures Technician for a position at Lunken Airport. Full-service shop that handles everything from major inspections to routine maintenance on a variety of corporate aircraft. You will collaborate with Avionics Technicians to fabricate racks, inlets, composite, and structural components for Garmin and Collins Avionic installations. You will demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling. You will also perform aircraft modifications, sheet metal repairs, corrosion treatment, and landing gear or engine removals. Ensuring all work is completed according to the maintenance manual, service bulletin, RSM, FAA FAR, or other approved documentation is critical.
Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft modifications and sheet metal repairs.
- Handle corrosion treatment and landing gear or engine removals.
- Fabricate racks, inlets, composite, and structural components for Garmin and Collins Avionic installations.
- Demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling.
- Ensure all work is completed according to the maintenance manual, service bulletin, RSM, FAA FAR, or other approved documentation.
Essential Skills- A&P License
- 2+ years of structural experience
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and industry-accepted maintenance practices
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with corporate jets is strongly preferred
- Airframe Licenses are strongly preferred
- Skills in non-destructive testing and inspection
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and repair
- Ability to work on various aircraft types including Beechjets, Citation, Cessna, Gulfstreams, and Skyhawks
