Job Description:

Purpose:
The Line Service Representative performs all of the Line Service duties, including parking, refueling, baggage handling servicing and towing all transient, maintenance and Berry Aviation aircraft safely. The representative greets and interacts with customers at arrival and departures and during their interim stay; and engages in ramp and facility safety and security procedures. This position operates the department&39;s Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and assists in the maintenance and cleanliness of GSE, designated work areas, hangars, ramp and storage facilities; services as back-up to the Front Desk; and performs OJT for lesser experienced representatives and is available to work alternate shifts.


Responsibilities:

  • Park aircraft, and greet passengers and crew in a timely manner.
  • Perform any requested customer service duties (Fuel, Aircraft Movements, etc.).
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner with all customers and employees.
  • Clean and maintain all buildings (FBO, hangars, etc.),fuel equipment, and all ground servicing equipment
  • Receive fuel and perform all tests required in a safe manner.
  • Maintain daily paperwork for quality checks of fuel and equipment.
  • Fills Jet and Avgas trucks at the fuel farm. Maintains fuel and fluid levels for GSE, courtesy and ramp vehicles. Assists with general fuel farm maintenance and upkeep.
  • Performs additional specialized functions, including front desk back-up, fuel farm management, OJT to lesser experienced representatives, inventory control, working alternate shifts, etc.
  • Monitors ramp and facility for safety and security and assesses, and responds as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

Line Service Representative I:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Previous Line Service, aviation and/or customer service experience required

 

Line Service Representative II:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year previous Line Service, aviation and/or customer service experience required
  • Consistent Proficiency and Reliability in all aspects of the LSR position

 

Line Service Representative III/ Line Service Supervisor:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum three year previous Line Service, aviation and/or customer service experience required
  • Consistent Proficiency and Reliability in all aspects of the LSR position
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, excel in customer service standards, and the ability to seek out and complete tasks independently

 

Position Specific Requirements:

  • Licenses/Certificates: Forklift Certification; Tow qualified; FAR 139 Training qualified; (OJT for certifications and equipment handling)
  • Must be able to pass employment background check; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally lifts 100 lbs.; reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; works in heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
  • Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
  • Work Schedule: Must be available for all shifts
