Job Summary:

Under the direction of Spares Operations Shipping Supervisor, the Warehouse Export Clerk is responsible for the processing of all international outbound orders and shipments; work closely with the Quality Assurance and Trade Compliance Department to maintain accurate records; ensure that Quality Standards within the Export Group for the picking of Sales Orders are being followed as instructed; confirm that the shipping of Spares Parts are in accordance with our ISO work instructions and in accordance with export regulations under the US Departments of State, Commerce and Census. With this responsibility, the Export Clerk is required to follow all DOT and IATA regulations when shipping Dangerous Goods. Under the guidance of the Lead Export Clerk and the Spares Operations Shipping Supervisor, he/she will also have the responsibility of ensuring that accurate document preparation required by various government agencies is completed in a timely manner for the Exportation of Spares Operations aircraft parts which will include the proper classification of materials.

Principal Duties:

  • The processing of sales, stock transfer, and repair orders for international shipments daily.
  • Perform the picking and packing of aircraft parts for international shipment.
  • Identify, verify, and process all parts and materials for the exporting of international shipments utilizing online data processing systems compliant with company policy and procedures.
  • Assist in the maintaining of export files in accordance with Dassault Falcon Jet (DFJ) ISO policy.
  • Prepare documentation required by Federal Government Agencies/US Customs to export aircraft parts from the US.
  • Coordinate the delivery of parts between DFJ, authorized brokers, freight forwarders/carriers and US Customs.
  • Ensure that all export AOG orders are prepared/shipped in accordance with DFJ policy and procedures.
  • Apply the proper harmonized codes (HTS), ECCN and prepare SLI for export orders to meet US Customs requirements.
  • Work with account reps/planners to ensure proper address for all export customers/vendors are in system.
  • Respond to afterhours support requests as assigned to process/complete export shipments (On Call).
  • Safely operate forklift and man-up equipment for the picking of aircraft parts.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Materials and Trade Compliance Departments.

Non-Principal Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience of managing the shipment of export orders in a warehouse environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience operating forklifts, reach trucks and man-up equipment.
  • Familiar with documentation required by Federal Agencies (FAA, BIS, Census, CBP/Customs) for exports.
  • Working knowledge of the Automated Export System (AES) for the electronic filing of export documentation to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency.
  • Knowledge of United States International Trade Commission/Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
  • Knowledge of Export Control Classification Number (ECCN).
  • Understanding of Commerce Control List (CCL).
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Experienced in the handling and shipping of Dangerous Goods
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Experienced with computerized inventory control system (SAP).

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of importing procedures
  • Previous experience with ISO 9002 Certification
  • Familiar with civil aviation components
  • College courses in materials or operational management
