Tool Room Attendant

The Tool Shop Attendant is responsible for maintaining the tool crib which stores the tools and small jigs used by production. The attendant monitors the use of the equipment and ensures that the tools are kept in good repair. The attendant is responsible for two key tool crib functions: inventory and inspection of tools for wear and tear.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue tools used for production (including chemicals), and maintain records of equipment movement.
• Visually inspect tools and equipment for defects and wear and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Support calibration activity under QA guidance.
• Coordinate with local suppliers to validate material order receipt, availability, alternatives, and due dates.
• Create SAP master data and purchase requests.
• Coordinate with Strategic Procurement for material consumption, batch order quantities, and order cycles.
• Perform goods receipt and inventory adjustments.
• Participate in audit preparation and audit processes.
• Perform aircraft clip tools clean-up using various methods such as media blasting.
• Perform daily consumable carts kitting activity and station delivery.
• Participate in daily production meetings.

• 1+ years of experience in a tool room, logistics, or inventory control.
• Computer skills (SAP or another ERP system ideal).
