SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for the inventory management at the site level. Responsible for the overall management of material requirements and control necessary for support of the assigned program. Assists the Supply Lead in the accomplishment of tasks assigned to the Supply Resource Centre, and serves as the point of contact on all logistics/supply/material related issues. Complies with the KAF 4790 series manuals as they apply to this contract.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties. Additional essential functions may be identified by the organization and listed as such in the incumbents performance appraisal elements. Various tasks may be assigned under each essential function. Those that are listed under the examples of work are not all-inclusive; they are examples only and may be amended or added to as needed by the organization.

  • Assists the Supply Lead in the management of daily operations and execution of all tasks in support of the Supply Resource Centre.
  • Works as a member of the supply team, executing tasks and facilitating priorities as prescribed by the Supply Lead and Maintenance Control.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of all supply related reports, contract deliverables, and relevant documents.
  • Enforces and exercises continuous awareness of the supply effort in compliance with the KAF 4790, Vertex, and local policies and instructions.
  • Establish and maintain written procedures for the proper control of Government Furnished Property.
  • Ensures accountability, shipment, and receipt of detachment pack ups and retrogrades.
  • Maintains liaison with adjacent contractors and agencies in the performance of duties to include the procurement of high priority components/consumables, coordinating, facilitating, and tracking all shipping requirements.
  • Manages all aspects of the Repair of Repairable (ROR) process, to include the preparation, coordination, tracking, and accurate documentation of all ROR transactions.
  • Submits changes to established procedures/business rules ensuring all functions are consistent with written procedures.
  • Establish and maintain stocking levels of aircraft components and consumables to ensure materials are available to meet maintenance requirements and maintain established contractual Mission Capability (MC) rates.
  • Uses established supply routes to pick up and drop off parts in the support of maintenance and the flight schedule.
  • Conducts and documents monthly inventories, maintains and updates supply records and documentation, maintains inventory at the lowest possible cost to the customer.
  • Makes recommendations concerning the functions of the Supply process at all supply/logistics meetings.
  • Complies with DOT Hazardous Material Transportation Procedures.
  • Utilizes logistical/supply related automated information systems to research, order, track, open, and closeout supply requisitions.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Government Property Control/Procurement procedures in accordance with KAF 4790.
  • Works directly with the customer, interfacing with both U.S. and Kuwaiti government, in the conduct of daily business and on issues involving procedural deficiencies.
  • Enforces all company and government safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintains accurate records of government property throughout the acquisition and disposition process.
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable maintenance programs (FOD, HAZMAT, ESD, etc..) required in the performance of duties.
  • When necessary, performs other duties and supervisory functions, critical to the function of the program, and to assure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements.
  • Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Minimum of five years' experience specializing in aviation supply/logistics operations, aviation supply warehouse management, shipping, ordering, receiving, supply/material control processes/procedures.
  • Shall have experience in, and be capable of managing supply functions such as storage, issue, inspection, research, repairable component processing, shipping, receiving, warehousing, cataloging, aircraft maintenance support, preparing MILSTRIP requisitions, and accounting for aircraft parts and equipment.
  • Must be familiar with and have the ability to fully manage, track, and facilitate the ROR process.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create/modify briefs, spreadsheets, and formal requests/documentation.
  • Must be able to provide accurate and timely contract deliverable reports, documents, and analyses required for the overall management of the supply/logistics program functions.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with technical directives, periodic maintenance requirement cards, maintenance manuals, and illustrated parts break downs, to conduct research on and parts requirements/procurement.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of automated supply systems and efficiency in data entry.
  • Have a strong knowledge base of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series aviation maintenance program instruction, and understand how the outlined policies and procedures apply to the operation, repair, and maintenance of assigned support equipment.
  • Have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, FOD, Tool Control, HAZMAT, etc…) as they relate to the functionality of supply/logistics duties.
  • Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs (ex. Tool Control, HAZMAT, MetCal, etc…) as required by local policies.
  • Must successfully complete HAZMAT training as required for this position.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position, to include the operation of warehouse equipment: Forklift, pallet jack, etc…
  • Must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate in writing and verbal capacities, to interface with squadron personnel, and to other supporting organizations.
  • Must be able to work directly with the customer and Kuwait Air Force officers providing accurate and timely information as requested via telephone, verbal, and email communication.
  • Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required.
  • Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations.
  • Hazardous Shipping/Communication Training/Certification.
  • FOD, TCP, and Electro Static Discharge (ESD) Awareness Trained
  • Must be able to multi-task, have the ability to learn quickly, and have strong attention to details and follow-through skills
