Job Description:

Purpose:

This role is responsible for receiving and inspecting all incoming aircraft parts and materials in accordance with department, company, and FAA standards to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the inspection criteria enumerated in company GMM and RSM.
  • Unpack and verify part numbers and shipped quantities against issued PO.
  • Work with purchasing and repairs to rectify any order inconsistencies.
  • Perform a detailed visual inspection of incoming components.
  • Confirm part specific paperwork complies with manual requirements.
  • Verify repairs are performed only by companies listed on the approved vendor list.
  • Report and reject any non-conforming items.
  • Ensure the entry into the system tracking inventory is complete and accurate.
  • Receive and process calibrated tooling updating the tool tracking system as required.
  • Scan and process all paperwork in accordance with manual requirements.
  • Deliver items that have completed receiving to the correct area noted on the PO.
  • Assist with local supply chain duties, which may include but is not limited to:
    • Shipping parts
    • Pulling parts
    • Cycle counts
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 1 year of aviation experience
  • Knowledge of how Inventory control / inventory management software works
  • Experienced in the use of all Microsoft office suite products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to make logical decisions in high stress situations
  • Is able to work productively alone or with little supervision
  • Is capable of following detailed instructions or SOPs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Experience as a receiving inspector in a part 121 airline, 135, airline, or 145 repair station
  • Undergraduate degree
  • A&P certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • Incumbent is required to be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
  • Incumbent will likely be standing or walking the majority of a shift.
