GAL Aviation Inc. is a Start-to-Finish manufacturer of aircraft interior cabinets and components and light aerostructures for Aviation Projects & Programs for Commercial & Business Aircraft OEMs & In-Service Clients. We offer a comprehensive range of services including Designing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Certification, Installation, and Support. As a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 27-12) with 561 and 573 approval, AS9100 Rev C Certification, EASA 145 Certification, and FAA authority, we specialize in the maintenance, refurbishment, repairs, and modifications of aircraft interior components for in-service Transport Category Aircraft.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to manage our shipping and distribution operations, including international shipments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are accurately processed, shipped, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Use software to track, check, prioritize, and route orders.
  • Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including advanced shipping notices, pick slips, and bills of lading.
  • Coordinate the flow of packages from preparation to shipment.
  • Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely shipping of orders.
  • Communicate with carriers and logistics partners to arrange shipments.
  • Resolve issues regarding shipped orders, including delays and lost packages.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Report to management on shipping activities and issues.
  • Manage international shipping operations and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Handle documentation for international shipping, including export/import documentation, customs declarations, and shipment tracking.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a shipping coordinator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of logistics procedures, including international shipping.
  • Knowledge of aviation/aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • High school diploma; a degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
