Packaging Analyst

Bell is seeking a Packaging Analyst that will be able to be key role in creating solutions for the Logistics Team, by providing data to drive decision making based on safety, quality, and performance. This position will work closely with the Leadership to ensure that Bell is providing our internal and external customers with the optimal experience.

What youll be doing as a Packaging Analyst

× Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special-handling and safety requirements, and type of materials required for container.

× Consults with establishments purchasing and production departments to determine costs and feasibility of producing proposed packaging.

× As business needs require, will confer with customers or sales representatives to facilitate creation or modification of contracts.

× Provides configuration management of basic material templates in support of contract requirements.

× Provides solutions to employers or customers on efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, utilization of sealing and fastening devices and audits for methods requirements adherence.

× Studies, evaluates, analyzes and implements process optimization, continuous improvement projects and change management efforts based on customer requirements and business objectives, lean process development.

× Monitor current operations to ensure organization is efficient; Conducts capacity analysis and leads projects to identify and implement improvement techniques in cost, capital planning, space, etc.

× Current and future facility layout planning in relation to production operations for current and emerging programs.

× Conducts feasibility studies and takes part in implementing new technologies and new production techniques.

× Responsible for metrics and analytics, including master data development and maintenance.

× Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost scheduling and performance data from functional departments.

× Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring To This Role

× Extensive knowledge of non-hazardous and hazardous shipping requirements

× Experience with manufacturing software (SAP, CAMS, etc.)

× Experience working in the operations or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.

× Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytics or logistics

Experience with CAD software to create technical drawings and plans

What You Need To Be Successful

× Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

× Able to communicate both written and oral

× Ability to independently develop and lead a project.

× Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc). Strong Excel experience is necessary.

× Strong analytical skills processing large amounts of data are required
