Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM.
This position will support day-to-day shipping, receiving, property control, operations, and facilities functions as needed. Under limited supervision, this person will ensure materials are properly received or shipped and handled using an established process, including data entry in company tools and computer systems. Additional tasks include tracking calibrated parts to be sent or being returned from calibration, maintaining an organized and tidy shipping/receiving area, accurate record keeping, tracking and maintaining consumable items around the facility, supporting lab managers in maintaining well stocked and tidy lab areas, and operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Position Responsibilities:
Lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. and manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. using available safety/lifting tools
Loads and off-loads material to/from delivery truck, sort, reconcile, enter information into receiving system, prepare for in-processing
Checks for damaged boxes and complete required paperwork. Accurately report, communicate and escalate non-conformances.
Stores materials in designated locations within the warehouse / storage areas or as requested by program or functional management
Conducts initial verification and identification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments
Process receiving/shipping documentation according to local procedure
Communicates receipt of parts to key stakeholders
Assists other employees with researching shipping and receiving inquiries or discrepancies
Maintains and store accurate records of required documents as required for auditing
Ensures compliance with all safety and security procedures
Packages and process shipments
Assists with maintaining inventory of shipping/receiving supplies
Maintains clean and tidy shipping/receiving areas
Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements.
Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years’ experience in shipping and receiving
Experience operating powered material handling equipment
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Able to stand and walk throughout work shift (6+ hours) as well as carry and lift up to 25 pounds
Able to read, write and speak English fluently
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
High School Diploma
Active Security Clearance
Current Class A driver’s license
Experience in international shipping and distribution
Experience in shipping and receiving hazardous goods
Work Location:
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Summary pay range: USD $43,350 – $53,550
