What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Material Review Board (MRB) Discipline Chief to serve as the primary technical authority on execution of the MRB process for all our products. This is a highly visible and excellent career opportunity that will provide exposure across quality, engineering, and operations organizations. This position requires unquestionable ethical dedication for safety and quality.
Successful candidate will be responsible for the discipline health of the MRB process which includes writing and maintaining procedures and standard work as well as improving the technical proficiency of its practitioners. This position draws on the Quality systems, and the customer contractual requirement bodies of knowledge as the basis for proficiency and works with all Quality and Engineering sub-disciplines day to day. Preferred candidate should also be proficient in data analytics and will assist in the digitalization of the MRB process.
- Develop a clear understanding of P&W Material Review Board (MRB) procedures to ensure adherence and process compliance.
- Leading organization in ensuring product and process compliance by providing guidance and direction with regards to MRB process requirements, practitioners, process and documentation.
- Develop, maintain and provide training on MRB process and specifications to new and current QMRB personnel.
- Maintain training records. Provide guidance and updates on current specifications and/or new specs.
- Guide and mentor junior members of MRB team in the interpretation and implementation of the MRB process.
- Support audits for the MRB process and provide support during compliance investigations. Monitor the MRB processing using SAP data establishing metrics with periodic reporting.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing and quality systems and processes. Experience with on-line business systems such as SAP and Solumina is required.
- Proficient using standard software tools to drive continuous improvement and improve MRB processing
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experienced with MRB and previous MRB board members preferred.
- Prior QMRB or MRE experience preferred.
- Strong technical skill and comprehension of internal QMS.
- Demonstrated skill in leading and managing a technical team.
- Strong understanding of production process and ability to make appropriate risk-based decisions.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
