Summary

Materials Management, within Pratt & Whitney, is seeking an industry experienced specialist to work within its parts distribution business division.  This employee will be part of the Pratt & Whitney Component Solutions (PWCS) team and work across the value stream to successfully meet the expectations of the Materials Management business segment.

Key roles and responsibilities include-but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with customers, colleagues, and internal Pratt & Whitney stakeholders to identify, develop, and manage projects related to new and used parts inventory across our product lines.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of engines and parts nomenclature and configuration, with focus on accessories and components.
  • Lead contract reviews and OEM negotiations on accessories agreements.
  • Support Entry Into Service programs with parts management, from an engineering and commercial standpoint.
  • Support the Pricing (including escalation) and warranty processes at PWCS.
  • Utilize SAP systems, MS Excel and Power BI to perform analyses, provide recommendations to projects and initiatives, and to improve the effectiveness of the team.
  • Lead data analytics and data integrity initiatives under the Materials Management team.
  • Support Materials Management key performance metrics.
  • Provide support and coverage, as needed, to assist co-workers on repair management, and inventory and planning capacity.
  • Support both long-term and short-term strategies that drive inventory and financial commitments to RTX.
  • Influence a wide range of functional groups (supply management, finance, warehousing, customer technical support, service programs, product line management and others) to respond to customer inquiries and meet customer expectations.

Other Position Information:

  • This position may require domestic & international travel.
  • Position is classified as “hybrid” – work from both office location & home.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Aerospace or Aerospace Aftermarket industry supporting engineering, sales or supply chain management; OR Advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Must be results oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must demonstrate strong data analytics skills, business judgment and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of engine and part nomenclature, parts configuration and used parts business required.
  • Expert knowledge of parts configuration preferred.
  • Inventory and planning experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of project execution at senior level relative to parts configuration, pool management and accessories. 
  • Successfully demonstrated the ability to work independently as well as with a dynamic team of professionals.
  • Familiarity with engine operation, assembly and overhaul methods preferred.
  • Ability to favorably resolve complex business and sales issues.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and quantitative thinking in solving business problems.
  • Business level written and verbal communications skills required (English as a minimum).
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and Power BI preferred.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
