Morson are pleased to be recruiting several Machinists for a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Cwmbran, South Wales. This will initially be a 6-month contract although could become more long-term.

PAY RATES:

PAYE: 24.91 Per hour plus 3.62 holiday pay per hour/ OR 33.00 per hour Umbrella 

Hours: 40 hours per week Sun - Thurs - Nights 10.00pm - 6.00am

Machinist Role Profile:

Produce machined parts by setting and operating CNC lathes, Vertical and Horizontal milling/routing machines whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Setup and run CNC machining centres

• Prove out new NPI programs

• Use Vernier’s and other inspection equipment to meet tolerance requirements stipulated in engineering drawings

• Perform daily / weekly maintenance tasks in accordance with Machine Centre maintenance plan

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities

• Complete all necessary paper work as required

• Work with Production management team and programming team seeking opportunities to improve processes and reduce cycle times • Support team colleagues

• Maintain good housekeeping in accordance with 5S processes and practices

• Take responsibility for own quality of output

• Perform other tasks as reasonably requested by a Production Manager

Machining experience essential, ideally will hold apprenticeship paperwork or NVQ level 2/3 or Btec Diploma
