Overview: This is a Full Time/Direct Hire position with our Aerospace/Aviation Customer. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aircraft Stores Manager to oversee our Shipping & Receiving Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for oversight of all purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory, stores/stock clerks and will report directly to the Director of Maintenance . HTG would be happy to share the salary range after we first have a brief verbal discussion about your skill set as salary range is based on various factors such as experience, skills, certifications and years of experience. We also want to hear your feedback about salary and benefit expectation are. We understand that you would like to know what the Total OTE Package would include.  hen it comes to the total package (base pay, benefits and other perks). 

Stores Manager Responsibilities:

  • To manage a smooth operation within your department and manage/mentor a Shipping Clerk
  • You would be purchasing  inventory via a third-party sourcing company.
  • Assist with the outsourcing of parts including using alternate parts looking up and creating and maintaining the PO lists in a format acceptable to leadership.
  • Oversee the handling and preservation of all parts and articles in the stockroom and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Performs shelf life and life limit audits.
  • Conducts incoming material receiving inspections and records them as prescribed by the Repair Station Manual.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Ensure Store items are maintained in an orderly and accessible manner in receiving areas, tool cages, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, and calibration stickers provided by RSM.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Provide direction to other Stores and shipping and receiving workers.
  • Coordinates with the Purchaser to ensure the timeline of inventory and min/max levels are being met.
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items, in accordance with prescribed regulations, RSM, and/or return the item to the vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
  • Manage, monitor, and ensure shipping and receiving is an adherence to all in-house local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Track packaging and returns via the company Sinex system.
  • Ensure subordinates are properly trained in the usage of the facility Sinex system for Stores Records.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of FAA Alerts to Bogus parts, pertinent bulletins, and all internal policies.
  • Responsible for overseeing the outsourcing component repairs and calibrations from the approved vendor list.
  • In your absence you will successfully delegate all assigned duties and responsibilities to a qualified assistant who has been trained prior to your absence. 
Job Requirements:

Must have at least five years of experience as a Shipping Receiving/Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

  • Clean driver's license is preferred since some parts might need to be picked up or delivered through the company vehicle on the odd occasion. 
  • The position requires DOT Random Drug Testing as well as a 1. Education/ Education Verification Check and they also do a criminal background check due to FAA requirements. 
  • Note the following requirements to be hired: Offer is contingent upon a background check clearance, reference check, proof you are a US Citizen based on labor law with eligibility to work. 
  • Stores Manager must have at least four to five years of shipping/receiving, inventory control and Warehouse experience. Aerospace or Aircraft experience is preferred
  • Must show some type of mentorship, training and coaching others or supervisory experience; we are not looking for a hands-off manager; you must be the doing the job alongside the other person in your group.
