Job Description:
General Summary
Fabricate and refurbish aircraft interior furnishings.
Essential Job Functions
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Work with a team to accomplish an established goal
  • Cut, pattern, and sew aircraft seating (not always required)
  • Strip coverings from existing interior panels and re-cover with new materials
  • Repair damaged interior panels as directed by the Manager or Crew Chief
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Specific Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Must possess excellent workmanship and a desire to work
Physical Requirements:
  • Routinely lifts up to 25 lbs, occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs
  • Stands for long periods, with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and stooping
  • Uses hands to reach and feel, with repetitive motion
  • Good finger dexterity
  • Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English fluently
  • Visual acuity correctable to 20/20
  • Works in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet, and noisy environments
  • Works with and around products and materials associated with aircraft maintenance
Other Requirements:
  • Must possess minimum tooling required to perform duties assigned
  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Must be able to work various shifts and overtime as directed
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience to pattern and sew seating components in aircraft, automotive, marine, or furniture
  • 3+ years of experience in foam/buildup/evaluation/disassembly and assembly of seating components desired
