Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Finance Controlling & Transformation Analyst (Contract) to join our Finance department based in Herndon, VA.

This position is located in Herndon, VA.

You will support the ongoing management and execution of finance activities & transformation projects, leveraging strong project management and stakeholder management skills. This includes direct interactions with managers in operations and functional bodies as well as the preparation of project review meetings with a diverse audience of internal stakeholders across Airbus divisions in the region.

Additionally, you will take a support role participating in specific transformation projects for Airbus Customer Services (i.e. Training, M&A, Aftermarket Services, Material Services & Customer Support Services). You’ll help maintain drumbeat on project milestone adherence and play an important role in ensuring proper project governance through the validation of project deliverables.

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities: Finance Transformation and Project Management, Financial Controlling

Project Management Support: 60

  • Capture and analyze project requirements and support project managers to define and implement project plans and author project documentation
  • Support in project business cases build-up and assessments of project risks and opportunities
  • Support the preparation of key project milestone reviews, to be delivered to an executive audience, developing communication materials and decision-support documents that support key business decisions (i.e. Investments, Transformation)

Program Management Office (PMO) Support: 30

  • Support the administration of a diverse portfolio of business transformation projects, applying robust visual management standards, data-management and communication best practices
  • Support the definition of project management methodologies and best practices to be applied across the portfolio of active projects

Other duties as assigned: 10

  • Support the definition and implementation of corporate-wide training and education programing for key competences identified as strategic priorities for supporting business transformation

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • 1&43; years’ experience in one or more of the following functional areas:

-Project Management

-Program Management

-Portfolio Management

-Performance Management

-Financial Analysis

-Business Management

  • Bachelor&39;s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related field
  • Strong user of Microsoft applications PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing systems and tools as needed
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize workload autonomously

Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree in in Business Administration, Finance, Project/Portfolio Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related field
  • Project Management Accreditation (i.e. PMP or similar)
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Visio
  • International work and/or study-abroad experiences
  • Exposure to the Aerospace industry and related sectors

Skills & Competencies:

The candidate should have a strong competence in project management as well as being well versed in visual management, financial analysis and performance management. In addition, he/she/they should be competent utilizing the extended suite of Google Suite tools, including GSlide, GSheet, GForm as well as Microsoft Excel. Additionally, he/she should have a demonstrated track record of success managing projects within organizations and as well be a skilled communicator and proven relationship builder. Finally, he/she should bring with them a disruptive mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization is required for this opportunity.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
