Inertial Tracking Engineer

Orlando, FL

Contract Position

$65.87/Hour

Join a facility renowned for its missile systems and fire control projects, delivering some of the most advanced weapons systems in the world. Work on groundbreaking technologies that redefine combat and strategic capabilities globally, offering a chance to contribute to national and international security.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex models, simulations, and performance evaluations for systems in diverse scenarios.
  • Verify system and subsystem requirements at multiple levels.
  • Prepare and present technical materials for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve algorithm development milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-8 years in algorithm development and analysis for inertial tracking and navigation.
  • Clearance: Interim Secret Required
  • Programming: Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.
  • Desired Skills:
    • Experience with linear algebra software packages.
    • Proficiency in developing C++ code within a Linux environment.
    • Deployment of algorithms meeting real-time performance in embedded systems.
    • Exposure to AI/ML techniques for algorithm development.
    • Familiarity with electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) systems, radiometry, and optics.
    • Expertise in navigation algorithms, Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, and advanced mathematics.
    • Experience with modeling and simulation of EOIR systems, and knowledge of clutter rejection techniques.
