Systems Engineer
Grand Prairie, TX
Contract Position
$58.21-$63.21/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Support advanced missile and fire control projects by integrating models, simulations, and real-world data to evaluate system performance and ensure mission readiness.
- Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems, and guidance algorithms into 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
- Perform modeling and simulation tasks to evaluate system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and conduct trade studies for end-to-end kill chain assessment.
- Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Lab operations to verify that performance requirements are met through simulation and analysis.
- Participate in the integration and testing of hardware and software in HWIL environments.
- Conduct flight test predictions and analyze performance data from flight tests.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physics required.
- Experience:
- Proficiency in C++ programming; experience with FORTRAN and 6-DOF simulation.
- Experience in aerospace applications, with emphasis on simulation and testing.
- Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
- Familiarity with linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.
- Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment and to travel occasionally for up to two weeks to support flight tests.
- Experience in integrating and testing hardware and software in HWIL environments.
