Be a part of a team which provides Key Mechanical Equipment (KME) to the refining and petrochemical industries. You will be responsible for helping KME ensure our equipment and services comply with UOP engineering requirements, customer requirements, regulatory agencies, and with government regulations.  You will be a big part of helping KME ensure that our products and services are delivered to the highest standards possible:  In Line with Expectations, Delivered On Time, All the Time.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•  Review of technical specifications

•  Develop project inspection & test plans, check lists & reports 

•  Review supplier quality related procedures:
-Plan, schedule, facilitate pre-inspection meetings
-Provide inspection coordination at supplier workshops using both internal and external inspectors 

•  Coordinate site services for HRI, PRI, and FCC related equipment

•  Review inspection reports:
-Manage supplier quality issues
-Participate in supplier qualifications & audit

•  Review of quality portions of supplier data books 

•  Propagate lessons learned during Quality/Inspection activities to KME group to expand knowledge

•  Coordinate with other inspection groups within UOP to share resources and knowledge

•  Expect 20 travel including shop inspection visits and equipment installations at customer sites

•  Ability to perform the following:

•  Brainstorm solutions to complex problems

•  Focus on continuous improvement

•  Organize diverse function within the company to coordinate input on Quality related topics and issues

•  Perform cost improvement analysis

"The annual base salary range for this position is $113,200 - $141,500. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. MUST HAVE:  

•  EPC Experience in Oil/Gas, Chemical, Power Plant Projects or prior UOP/Honeywell inspection services experience

•  Core domain: Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and/or Inspection experience



WE VALUE:  

•  Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics 

•  Certifications:  AWS CWI, SCWI, API 510, 571, 577, 580, 936, and 982

•  ISO 9001:2015 QMS auditing

•  Experience with ASME Section VIII, IX, B31.3, AWS D1.1

•  Manufacturing experience of pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, and vessel internals

•  Experience with installation of refractory according to UOP requirements

•  Shopfloor / Site experience with structural steel and piping fabrication

•  Ability to work independently 

•  Willingness to learn new technologies 

•  Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work 

•  Ability to work on multiple projects, manage global workload & communications with International UOP offices based in APAC, US & Europe.
