Job Description:

Purpose of Position
The Flight Operations IT domain manages applications for business capabilities relating to flight scheduling, trip support, and flight support.
This entry level developer position will work within the Flight Support team learning responsibilities across all supported applications and new development. Flight Support works with business partners including Flight Mission Delivery, Dispatch, and Meteorology. Our business partners rely on us to ensure 'day of flight' operations are safely planned and ready for take-off.
The Flight Support team (Business Analysis, Development, and Quality Assurance) plans, develops, and tests work within two-week sprints. Business priority is managed with the Product Owner along with internal IT initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Implementation of new and existing software enhancements, technical debt, and support through analysis, development, and testing
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and business stakeholders
  • Automate builds, deployments, and build pipelines through DevOps
  • Build test automation (unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product

  • Previous internship or work experience as an entry level engineer with 0-2 years experience is preferred.
  • Cloud development (AWS Serverless)
  • TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, React
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge or experience in Agile methodologies (Atlassian)
  • Strong desire to learn and progress in career advancement
  • Can work on your own given direction
