Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team located in Hazelwood, MO.
This position will support current and growing critical quality and procurement activity for established and proprietary programs for mission-critical commodities. Successful candidates will have a background in supply chain, design engineering, mission sub-systems. Strong preference to candidates with knowledge of design maturity and supporting quality milestones throughout all phases of product life cycle.
Additional Responsibilities:
Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Supports Supplier Implementation and Execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP
Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
Supports Supplier development activities and leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements related to Mission Systems and Sub-System, then supports maturation of those systems into qualified production readiness.
Support early quality involvement with supplier conducting requirement consumption review
Assists in the performance of Functional and Physical Configuration Audits as well as First Article Inspection
Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
Identify and mitigate risk in supply base
Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Develops and implements corrective actions.
Performs benchspaning and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality processes
3+ years of experience conducting supplier audits
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3+ years of experience supporting defense/military customers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in design engineering
Experience working with end to end Supply Chain processes
Experience First Article Inspections (i.e. AS9102)
1+ year of experience working with composites and/or composites manufacturing
Experience working with technical processes such as Electrical, Hydro Mechanical, Avionics
