The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (Regulatory Regulations) to join our team in Seal Beach, CA, Everett, WA, Long Beach, CA, or Seattle, WA.
Primary responsibilities:
- Leads Quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
- Develops Quality budget and cost estimates. Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
- Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
- Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
- Conducts quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions. Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management.
- Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and reports results to management.
- Trains senior management on preparation for third party audits. Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for complex nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
- Assists in the development of new standard repairs for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment. Works under minimal direction.
- Develops and implements of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements into the Boeing Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Boeing Process Manual (BPM).
- Capably of leading long term complex projects with FAA interface.
- Perform Safety Risk Management (SRM) activities
- Develop tools and training to expand the Boeing Safety Management System (SMS) though-out the ODA I-UM community.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of Quality experience
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- 3+ years of experience working with composites materials and processes
- 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
- 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience in the area of FAA/ODA systems, methods, and techniques
- Experience involving ODA I-UM activities or having responsibility for managing programs involving the FAA/ODA
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- 2+ years of previous experience in publication and online writing techniques
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches
- Prior working experience in multi-functions (quality engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, system engineering, design engineering, etc)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience in data analytics
- Project management experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Summary Pay Range: $116,450 - $157,550
