Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team located in Ridley Park, PA or Berkeley, MO.
The Senior Project Engineer will support development efforts on one of multiple proprietary programs. Defines and coordinates system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure internal and external system compatibility. Optimizes total system of systems and/or system architecture through integration of technical areas such as safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, regulatory, certification, and other specialties to ensure mission success, particularly for radio frequency (RF) subsystems. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. The ability to work and lead in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role. The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Position Responsibilities:
Support cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of documentation, deliveries and customer reviews
Lead interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions
Apply knowledge of RF systems and integration to ensure compatibility of the system with external and internal environments
Address technical concerns through collaboration and refinement of system design and CONOPS
Plan, develop and implement program infrastructure, tools and methodology for RF integration and analysis
Mentor and teach engineers to develop talent base for integration, analysis, testing and verification efforts related to compatibility.
Serve as a Technical Lead Engineer through guiding and coaching less experienced systems engineers
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
A minimum of 9years of engineering work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).
5+ years of experience in the development, integration and test of RF systems, particularly for RF compatibility.
