What You Will Do

• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Support the New Product Introduction teams within the facility and assist with transition to standard production build.
• Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
• Optimize facility layout through process mapping.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap for the facility, procuring and implementing new manufacturing equipment and processes to drive cost improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for manufacturing defects.
• Communicate with varying levels of leadership as well as production operators to clearly identify problems and create solutions.
• CORE Operating System engagements and activities to support our facility and department goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience 
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required ​
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance ​

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma
• 2D and 3D CAD Modeling Experience - Solidworks/Creo/AutoCAD
• Project Management Experience
• Application of Lean Manufacturing Principles

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
