Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Structural Analysis Engineer, reporting to the Structures Manager, working out of the Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil office. 

The Associate Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structure team who provide support for the primary and secondary structure of the 7 series Boeing Fleets. 

Position Responsibilities:

•    Evaluate strength of structural non-conformances and repairs
•    Apply knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product/process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycle
•    Analyze non-conformities for structural integrity impacts and identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
•    Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
•    Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
•    Works under general supervision


This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    Must have had a continuous or combined break in employment lasting at least 12 months.
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in related Engineering fields
•    Must be legally able to work in Brazil
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor
•    Must have advanced proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language
•    Some experience with structures engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

•    Some experience in structural analysis methods and tools 
•    Some experience with design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials
•    Some experience with durability and damage tolerance analysis
•    Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer
•    Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
•    Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency
•    Proactive collaboration with customer, build positive relationships. (i.e. Liaison Engineering and Operations teams)
•    Effective communication with other team members and management


Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation.


Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
