The Specialty Engineering Team is seeking a Mid Career Reliability Systems Engineer to join the Huntsville, AL Team.
As a Reliability Systems Engineer you will performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
•Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Reliability HDBKS and Standards (i.e.; MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-STD-1543, MIL-HDBK-338, MIL-HDBK-472)
• Demonstrated success in creating Reliability Predictions, independently completing Reliability Analysis, and/or interpreting and applying reliability requirements.
• Demonstrated leader of teams or projects, technical reliability studies, evaluations of engineering design concepts, and mentoring junior employees
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required.)
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading the Creation, Maintenance and/or Delivery of the following: Reliability Program Plans, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Critical Items List, Availability, Maintainability Analysis and Predictions including Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Built-in-test design, analysis and verification, Fault Tree Analysis, Probability Risk Assessment (PRA), Application of probability and statistics to support decisions regarding sample size, burn-in life testing and failure analysis investigations, Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), dormancy effects, Stockpile Reliability Testing, Explaining sophisticated RAMT concepts in simple terms
• Customer interface experience, especially with military customers
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to tackle problems and implement constructive change
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Experience with RAMT and PRA modeling software
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
