  • Innovative Design and Analysis: the detailed analysis and design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware components, including but not limited to digital receiver subsystems and exciters. This involves mastery over various components such as front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers, and A/D and D/A conversion processes.
  • Filter Design: Engage in sophisticated filter modeling, analysis, and design.
  • System Integration: Direct the system integration, testing, and development of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight applications, exploring new communications technologies for spaceflight.
  • Collaborative Team Efforts: Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet all customer and internal requirements, serving as the primary technical interface for customers, participating in technical meetings, and aiding in the development of customer specification.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory and component design, with substantial experience in delivering high reliability hardware from conceptual design to flight delivery.
  • Experience with microwave modeling tools such as Genesys, ADS, AWR, Ansoft HFSS, Designer, Maxwell, Matlab, and AutoCAD is crucial.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of complex communication systems theory, RF architecture, IMAs and circuit design.
  • Knowledge in RF and mixed-signal design techniques and technologies.
