Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer (PQE) to manage the execution of tasks and provide quality oversight to Suppliers supporting the Rotary and Tactical Training Solutions (RTATS) programs under Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training and Logistics (TLS) market segment. The position will require working flexible hours and both domestic and international travel to support supplier activity and program acceptance. As a member of the Procurement Quality Engineering Team, this individual will be the focal point and responsible for coordinating all efforts to ensure high quality and technical performance of deliverables from major subcontractors/suppliers for RTATS programs.

This position requires up to 60 travel to customer sites at domestic and international locations to participate activities such as supplier test events, surveillance, device installations, inspections, and configuration audits.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Testing high fidelity aircraft flight simulators, aircraft maintenance trainers, logistics/depot business systems, and other training platforms
Lead several subcontracts and suppliers on several levels to the project/program schedule, cost, and technical requirements
Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations
Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, collaborate with customer needs and program management activities
Perform on-going surveillance of suppliers conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports
Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering and supplier management matters
Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and collaborate with supplier daily
Basic Qualifications:
-Must have ability to obtain a security clearance
-Must be able to identify and document suppliers quality deficiencies and ensure effective root cause, corrective and preventative actions are implemented
-Understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
-A basic understanding of special processes and strong skill in managing and interfacing with suppliers on a daily basis to support the Program

-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
-Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be flexible to support all supplier quality field engineering activities
-Able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts Management Team and Customer Government Representatives
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports
-Former Pilot experience (helicopter)
-Aircraft Avionics experience
-Visual Systems experience
-Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent
-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
-Experience with simulation training devices
-Experience in conducting Physical Configuration Audits
-Experience working closely with government customers
-Experience managing major Subcontractors
-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
-A basic understanding of the SAP and P2P business systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $90,200 - $170,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
